Genesis expects the 2019 G70 sport sedan to draw younger customers, more women and those who are tech-savvy. The entry-level luxury sedan has a 252-hp 2.0-liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine available with an eight-speed automatic or six-speed manual variant. It is also available with a 365-hp 3.3-liter twin-turbocharged V-6 with an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Spy photos indicate that the 2020 Subaru Legacy, the next nameplate to join the brand’s global platform, will retain styling similar to the current model, though the face appears to have been retouched to better match the redesigned Forester and other models. The rear also appears to be styled a little bit sharper than the current Legacy, which was refreshed for the 2018 model year.

Toyota Motor Corp. said the Supra will return to U.S. showrooms and officially unveiled the Supra race car to replace the Camry in NASCAR's Xfinity Series starting in 2019. An official timeline for the introduction of the production Supra has not been released. The production version of the Supra has been developed as part of a joint venture between Toyota and BMW.

Nissan and Italdesign teamed up to create a special prototype of the GT-R to celebrate the 50th anniversaries of the design studio and Nissan's halo model. Called the GT-R50, the special version has been engineered and developed by Italdesign, while the exterior and interior have been designed by Nissan Design America and Nissan Design Europe in London. Nismo has tweaked the familiar 3.8-liter V-6 engine to produce 710 hp and 575 pound-feet of torque by adding a heavy-duty crankshaft, larger intercoolers and large-diameter GT3 competition-spec turbochargers, as well as heavy-duty connecting rods and bearings.The redesign has touched every body panel, with Nissan also lowering the roofline by 2.12 inches. Nissan says the prototype is not the next-generation GT-R -- the next-gen version is expected to land around 2020. -- Autoweek

A left-hand-drive version of the Ford Ranger Raptor was spotted testing outside Detroit, the best hint yet that the automaker is bringing its performance midsize pickup stateside. The automaker launched a right-hand-drive Ranger Raptor earlier this year in overseas markets. The Raptor badge, introduced on the company's F-150 pickup, includes more powerful powertrains and a number of off-road performance features.

The McLaren 600LT, the latest vehicle from the automaker's Track 22 program, is powered by a twin-turbocharged, 3.8-liter V-8 engine, that produces 592 hp and 457 pound-feet of torque. The LT stands for "Longtail" and it gets its name from a body that is 2.9 inches longer than a 570S coupe. Track-ready features include an extended front splitter, lengthened rear diffuser and a fixed rear wing -- all composed of carbon fiber. The 600LT is also equipped with a top-exit exhaust system, which McLaren says contributes to additional weight savings.
